Sports Club Red Star was founded on March 4, 1945, as a result of Belgrade youth’s effort to establish a sport club which they will be dedicated to. At the very beginning, there was made a section of members-friends of SC Red Star which had about 100 faithful supporters of red-whites who started to go with the club on all away games. The section was mostly made of boys from the burjoise parts of the city - Senyak, Topcider Hill, Dedinye, Knez Mihaylova st., but amongst the first Red Star supporters there were also children of workers, who will form the ‘first team’ of supporters leaders in future period. All these guys had something special, because they represented the very soul of our capital.
Mostly they were city rough guys and bohems - all in all young Belgradians who did not like nor army nor communist system, which has already began to rot.

Delije - Red Star supporters
Monday, April 19th, 2010Kohorta Osijek (Croatia)
Monday, April 19th, 2010Following FC Osijek promotion to first division in ex-Yugoslavia, our stadium, «Gradski Vrt», became filled and slowly Osijek had more and more noisy supporters. From 1972 ’till 1978 our group had the name «ŠOKCI», in 1986 we named ourselves «TORCIDA OSIJEK» (like the oldest and most famous supporters then, Torcida Split). But in 1988, the group agreed to take an unique name and we chose KOHORTA. The term Kohorta is in fact Latin word Cohorts which has two meanings. First is that Cohorts is a tactical infantry unit, 1/10 of the Roman Legions. In the time of Roman emperors, Cohorts had 400-600 people and it was gathered in town. Second version of that name is that Kohorta means strongly bonded group of people.
The history of Komiti ( Vardar Skopje)
Monday, April 19th, 2010The Ultras group “KOMITI” was noticed for the first time in the year 1985, on “Zapad” (Macedonian = West Stand), where the most fanatic fans of Vardar always operated, at the game FK Vardar Skopje - FC Porto (0:3). Two years later, in God’s summer of 4th June 1987 in the City Stadium in Skopje was the Derby of the Yugoslav league at that time between FK Vardar Skopje and Red Star Belgrade(3:1). On “Zapad” for the first time since existence of the club a banner with the writing “KOMITI” was noticed. The idea contained the establishment of a massive and strong Macedonian ultra scene. Our goal was that”KOMITI” will make the prominent post of all activities and events on the West Stand. As the most acceptable name of the group was selected “KOMITI” .
The reason for it was simple: When Macedonia was in the Middle Ages under occupation suffered by the Osmans, young Macedonians under the name “KOMITI” had organized themselves, in order to fight against the Tyranne and to drive it out from Macedonia.
The Firm - Vojvodina Novi Sad
Monday, April 19th, 2010As one of the oldest football clubs in Serbia (founded in 1914), FC Vojvodina always had considerable army of supporters. Yet, in the last decade, affected by the evident decay of quality of football in Serbia, corruption throughout all segments and levels of Serbian sports associations, when government and mafia owned and sponsored clubs were “expected” to win championships, there was fewer and fewer FC Vojvodina supporters on the stands of “Karadjordje” stadium. They were all waiting and hoping for better times in Serbian football as well as in FC Vojvodina. However, in spite of all difficulties our nation had faced in the last decade (wars, economic sanctions, repression etc.), a group of hard-core FC Vojvodina supporters was proudly following the club. They are still next to their club, no matter where it would play. They call themselves the FIRM.
Torcida 1950 - Hajduk Split
Monday, April 19th, 2010FROM 1945. UNTIL THE END OF 60’s
After the conclusion of WW2, a sudden interest in sport, especially soccer, in Yugoslavia was very big. After the fall of older domestic clubs, new teams have formed (Dinamo, Red Star Belgrade, Partizan and others), which quickly fitted in with the rest of the clubs that did not change their old names (Hajduk, Sarajevo). Rivalry was huge, and the whole competition was exciting - the champion was always decided at the very last game. That’s how it was on the second last day of October in 1950, when in Split the game between “Hajduk” and “Red Star” was a decider of Yugoslav champion. That year, soccer gained a new wave of popularity - with a bit of help from exciting World Cup that was held in Brazil which was a prefect display of talent, and even more, a perfect display of their fans, Torcida. With attractive southern atmosphere on Maracana and other Brazilian stadiums personally impressed a group of Hajduk fans, students in Zagreb. As the final game was approaching, with the rivals “Red Star” in 1950 championship, the ambition of supporting their club grew very big; inside the group a new idea sparked the flame which held the idea of organizing a ultras group with an influence from Brazilian fans, with the name of Torcida, which will help their team from Split win the champions trophy.
Tornado Zadar (Croatia)
Monday, April 19th, 2010HISTORY
Tornado Zadar was founded 1965. Zadar is know as the “city of basketball”, and basketball is everything. It is one of the few cities in Europe where basketball is by far the main sport, and because of this the ultras in Zadar follow BC Zadar. However, in our “ultras life” the only difference is that we are indoors, while other groups are in stadiums.
