The supporters of Crystal Palace are doing all they can today to save their club from extinction.
The consortium trying to rescue the cash-stricken Eagles have been set a deadline of 3pm this afternoon to finalise a deal or administrator Brendan Guilfoyle will be left with no option but to begin the liquidation process.
CPFC 2010 - led by Eagles fans Steve Parish and Martin Long - remain the club’s only hope of survival, but have insisted they will only complete a takeover if they can also purchase the freehold of Selhurst Park.
The stadium is under the control of administrators PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) who are being guided by their main creditors - Bank of Scotland, who are part of the Lloyds Banking Group.
The Eagles fans demonstrated in huge numbers at Selhurst yesterday and another protest is planned for the bank’s London HQ this morning.
Supporters have also launched an internet-led petition, canvassed local MPs and even Prime Minister David Cameron in a bid to rescue their beloved club.
