Monday, September 20th, 2010Break out the water cannons and riot gear, because the Hamburg derby is back. Sunday marked the first time since 2002 that cross-city rivals St. Pauli and HSV played a Bundesliga match and the first time in 48 years that they played at St. Pauli’s intimate Millerntor Stadium.
Total 55 fans were arrested, 13 fans and six police officers injured.
Riots stared before the match when the HSV fans attacked police with bottles, flares.. Police answered with water cannon.
The biggest clash between fans of both teams occurred shortly after the match. About 50 to 70 HSV-violent followers attacked fan pub of the FC St. Pauli, said a police spokesman. To prevent further clashes after the match was the subway station field road temporarily closed.

Thursday, May 13th, 2010After Werder Bremen - Hambrug, the supporters tried to have a clash but they could only throw projectiles because the Police managed to isolate the fans from Hamburg. Few were injured and approximately 30 were detained, most them Werder fans.

11 football fans arrested after Slovakian Cup final

Hungarian police are expected to put 11 arrested football fans before the Municipal Court in Encs, a town in north-eastern Hungary, on Thursday, May 13, following disturbances linked to the Slovak Cup final on Tuesday.

25 detained after incidents at Polish Rzeszow derby

The Polish derby between Stal and Resovia, always gave football fans something to admire. It was the case for their last encounter too. The tension in the stands was intense too. Apparently, when a Stal fan threw a seat at the visiting supporters things got a little hot. They tried to fight back and started the chaos. Police and the stewards intervened using tear-gas to calm the spirits. Some fans were detained. After the game, when being led outside the stadium area, Resovia fans attacked the Police. Some more were detained.

Eight fans arrested after clashes at Hillsborough

Police arrested eight football fans after trouble broke out following Sheffield Wednesday’s relegation from the Coca-Cola Championship.
Supporters invaded the pitch at Hillsborough on Sunday after end of the club’s crunch match against Crystal Palace and there was also disorder outside the ground.
South Yorkshire Police said the arrests were made for public order and assault and warned that more could follow as video footage taken from a helicopter was reviewed. (more…)
91 supporters detained at Croatian Derby
Sunday, May 2nd, 2010A goalless draw between Dinamo Zagreb and Hajduk Split on the pitch, but very exciting in the stands. Police intervened at half-time, in order to stop throwing of flares and bombs. The clashes during break-time and after the game resulted in the injury of 15 policemen (one with a severe eye-injury) and 6 supporters (one shot in the chest). 91 were detained, Police reported that 66 of them are supporters of Dinamo Zagreb.
Violence and tear-gas after Apollon - AEL
Saturday, May 1st, 2010APOLLON and AEL fans were involved in disturbances both inside and outside the Tsirion stadium in Limassol yesterday, following a cup semi-final match won 1-0 by Apollon.
The trouble started after the final whistle, when Apollon fans broke through crowd barriers to continue their celebrations on the pitch. They are reported to have gathered in front of a stand with AEL fans, and insults and threats were followed by firecrackers and flares.
Riot police were on hand to prevent any violent clashes and succeeded in keeping the departing fans apart after they left the stadium and continued to exchange insults.
After the Apollon fans moved off, AEL supporters are said to have started throwing objects – including water-bottles and stones – at the riot police.
For the first time, police immediately responded to the attack by firing at least four tear-gas canisters at the crowd of fans. These gradually moved away, but not before setting fire to bushes and taking objects and bricks from nearby houses’ gardens to throw at the police.
18 cops injured at Greek Cup final

Serious incidents between Panathinaikos and Aris fans took place before and after the final of the Greek Cup. The fans clashed before the game, 34 of them being arrested and 5 police officers injured. PAO won the game 1-0 and obtained the eighth double Championship-Cup in history. (more…)
